Changes to scope, compute, hosting resources or third-party costs are quoted before work proceeds. We do not automatically add overage fees to the original $1,500 package.
Before work begins
If you cancel before any design or development work begins and before Data Architect has purchased anything specifically for your project, you may request a refund of your payment in full. Please make the request in writing by email.
If you authorized a domain registration or a third-party service purchase that has already been made, its actual nonrecoverable cost may be deducted where permitted by law. We will provide a clear cost breakdown.
After work begins, before launch
If you cancel after work starts, we will provide an itemized accounting of the agreed work completed and authorized nonrecoverable expenses. Any prepaid portion not earned or spent on your project is eligible for refund. You will not be charged for new work beyond the agreed written scope without prior approval.
Payments for a split plan are treated the same way; a deposit is not automatically forfeited merely because you selected installments. If the initial website cannot be delivered substantially as agreed, contact us so we can offer corrections, an alternative solution or a fair refund as appropriate.
After launch and during the service year
Once the site is approved and launched, amounts attributable to completed design work, domain registration and outside purchases already delivered are generally not refundable unless required by law or another written agreement. If you cancel remaining prepaid hosting or routine support, we will review a reasonable prorated refund for service time not yet provided, excluding completed work and costs that cannot be recovered.
Please ask for an itemized explanation if you have questions about the breakdown. This policy is not intended to limit any statutory remedies for services not delivered as promised.
Domain registration and third parties
Domain registrars, software suppliers and payment providers may have separate refund or cancellation rules. We will identify optional outside costs and seek approval before buying them. We do not guarantee refunds for completed, nonrefundable third-party purchases, but will pass through any refunds received for your project.
Change orders, resource costs and renewal
Charges for extra pages requiring developer labor, advanced integrations, databases, unusually heavy bandwidth, storage, computing or hosting resources require a written estimate and approval first. Declining a change order does not change the original agreed $1,500 scope.
The first-year package does not automatically renew. Any chosen fixed monthly installments stop at their stated end; ongoing subscriptions can be canceled from the secure order page. Any new annual renewal price will be presented before renewal; you may choose not to renew.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with the business name, purchase email and reason for cancellation or requested refund. Please do not send full payment-card numbers. We will acknowledge your request and review any scope, work delivered and expenses. Approved card refunds will be initiated through Stripe, normally within five business days after approval; your bank controls when the credit appears.
If you believe a billing error occurred, contact us so it can be investigated promptly. Nothing in this policy reduces rights available under applicable law.
